There are problems with Unit4 Finance system in terms of delays in logging in and slow performance. This is currently under investigation.

We are experiencing reduced performance of the Unit4 Finance System. Please can you ensure you are logged out by 5.30pm this evening (Tuesday 11.5.21) as the servers needs to be re-started, you should be able to log on again at 6pm if you need to do so. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

[Service Alert] [Scheduled] Improvements to Glide Network at University Square Student Accommodation, Southend Campus
Further to the recent investigations into the Wi-Fi service, Glide and the University have decided to cease broadcasting the Eduroam Wireless network at University Square from 10am Tuesday 11 May 2021.
We expect this to help improve the connectivity and performance issues that some students have reported.
Please note: Eduroam will still be available at The Forum, Gateway Building, Clifftown Studios, and the Reception/Common Room area of University Square.
The Glide Wi-Fi will remain throughout University Square and can be accessed as before. As ever if you do have any issues with the getting online with the Glide service, please contact them straight away so that they can help you. They are a friendly team and are on hand 24/7 to help.

Partial power outage affecting some IT services (Colchester Campus)

We’ve fixed the issue and are monitoring the situation.
Services should be resuming.

We’re aware of an issue affecting power to parts of the Colchester Campus, including the Constable Building, and are currently investigating.
