Changes to FASER – March 2016

During the last few months we have been making improvements to FASER, both as part of our ongoing commitment to learning technologies, and as part of Making Electronic Feedback Effective phase 3 project (MEFE 3). Some of our recent improvements include:

  • Departments can ask students if they want the marker to focus feedback in a particular area.
  • Staff can hide feedback for individual students.
  • Departments can upload a feedback cover sheet for each assignment. This cover sheet is subsequently available to markers via the Feedback Assistant, and can be annotated online.
  • It is possible for departments to download all feedback for an assignment.
  • Formative FASER-only assignments can now be deleted.
  • Assignment descriptions can now be formatted.
  • Students can see an overview of all deadlines.
  • Lots of tiny improvements and fixes across FASER.

Looking ahead, we are currently working on:

  • Direct mark entry in FASER
  • Adding action-based feedback to assignments
  • Improved training and support
