Filed under: Southend Bulletin — tmarcu @ 4:21 am

We need you!

Good Morning,

We are getting in touch to invite you to take part in our Southend West Central Locality* Roadshow. It will be a great chance for organisations to raise their profile and visibility across the borough – there will be many opportunities to be involved, connect with residents, network with other organisations, build relationships and social media attention. Join us and many others in a positive, community-led social movement where we hope to engage, connect, inform and inspire our communities!

* What is West Central Locality? – Southend is made up of areas called wards and wards make bigger areas we call localities. West Central is west of (and close to) central Southend (the High Street), made up of the wards: Blenheim Park, Chalkwell, Milton, Prittlewell, St Laurence and Westborough.

What is the roadshow?

  • Starts 10 February, until 1 March, including evenings and weekends.
  • Out on the road in visiting many different people and places over an intensive 3 week period
  • Exploring what people think is important in their local area whilst sharing what work is already happening

 How can you be involved?

If you want to join us or help us in some way at one of our events then all you have to do is get in touch! Email JoDickinson@southend.gov.uk

Ways to help:

  • Volunteer with us to support or join us for an event – just tell us what dates or times you can do (morning/afternoon/evening/weekends between 10 February  – 1 March)
  • Share details of any events or community spaces you are aware of that we could attend during 10th Feb – 1st March
  • Send us your promotional materials, leaflets, merchandise, giveaways, swag-bags (post them/drop them to us or get in touch and we can collect)
  • Share if you have parking or a community space in West Central* you are happy for us to use for a slot on the roadshow
  • Let us know if you think any others should be involved and invite them along – share or forward this message on!

Any of the above contributions would be hugely appreciated – and by doing so you will be supporting a movement that aims to highlight the best of Southend as we bring our communities together with a sense of pride and a can-do spirit.

If you would like to get in touch please contact JoDickinson@southend.gov.uk

We look forward to hearing from you – and see you on the road!
