Printing issues in the Library

We are aware that some of our users are experiencing intermittent printing issues on the Multi Function Devices within the library.

The cause of these issues is currently being investigated.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing and suggest that, until this issue is resolved, our users use the printers in other areas for any time critical printing.

 

The University of Essex will moderate comments and there will be a delay before any posts appear.

[Service Alert] Network related problems affecting services at East15 campus

We are currently investigating network related issues in our East15 campus which is affecting access to network file shares, printing and some other services.

We will provide an update as soon as more more information is available.

 


 

A system failure occurred which caused some services to become temporarily unavailable. This has now been resolved.

Web print access

We are currently aware of and investigating an issue affecting access to papercut.essex.ac.uk and web print from devices connected via Eduroam. We will provide more information once the cause has been identified and fixed.

[Service Alert][Resolved]Printing in Open Access areas

UPDATE: 09:55 The server that controls the Papercut system is now back online.


 

There is currently an issue with the printing system (Papercut) which is preventing users from printing at all campuses.

We are working to resolve the issue and will post an update once the service is back online.

[Scheduled Service Alert] Printing unavailable from 7am to 9am on Tuesday 15 August

This work was completed successfully by 8:15am


 

Printing in most IT labs and spaces, as well as some staff and departmental offices, will be unavailable from 7am to 9am on Tuesday 15 August (our network at risk period).

This work is being carried out to improve the performance and reliability of our printing services.

Please note this only affects printers that use the Papercut database.
