[Service Alert] Issue with logging onto webmail earlier today

Earlier today we experienced an issue with the email service which meant that you may not have been able to log on to webmail between 3.00pm and 5.30pm.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you at the time.

This issue has since been resolved.

If notice any problems please let the IT Helpdesk know.

The University of Essex will moderate comments and there will be a delay before any posts appear.

[Service Alert] Issue with external email delivery earlier today

Earlier today we experienced an issue with email delivery due to a service provider fault. This meant that you may still be waiting on some external emails sent to you between 11:24 and 12:53 on Thursday 7 January.

If you are expecting an urgent email and have reason to think that it hasn’t yet been delivered, please contact the ITHD who will attempt to accelerate its delivery.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The University of Essex will moderate comments and there will be a delay before any posts appear.

Service is restored and we are monitoring the situation to confirm when all email has been delivered.

Issue identified

Earlier today we experienced an issue with email delivery due to a service provider fault. This meant that you may not have been able to receive external emails between 11:24 and 12:53.
We are closely monitoring the situation and continue to work closely with our service provider. We will send out further update on when delayed emails will be delivered.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The next update will be at 2:00pm.

[Service Alert] Issue with teaching timetable Zoom links missing from Office 365

An issue was identified and the timetabling information has been updated. We are monitoring the situation.

Investigating: 30 November 2020 10.00am

We’re currently investigating reports of an issue with Zoom links not appearing in teaching timetables in Office 365.

We’ll post another update as soon as we learn more.

Please log on to the Online Timetables page https://www1.essex.ac.uk/timetables/login.aspx to retrieve the Zoom links for your teaching schedule until this issue is resolved

[Service Alert] Issue with Office 365 calendar timetables earlier today

Earlier today we experienced an issue with teaching timetables in Office 365 which meant that you may not have been able to see the title of timetabled events between 9.00am and 11.50am.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you at the time.

This issue has since been resolved.
