[Service Alert][Resolved] – Issues accessing central administration systems

From between 03:00 and 11:40 on 14th September 2019 there was an issue with accessing central administration systems, including:

  • ESIS
  • KX
  • OpenVPN service
  • various other systems

The problem has now been resolved and all services are back in service.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused during this outage.

All Box systems and services are now live.

12 September 17:12

We are currently investigating an issue with Box services. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

Files being edited via Box Drive will synchronise when service is restored.

Files being edited online will save changes to a local file to merge back into Box when service is restored.

[Service Alert] [Scheduled] iTrent/ People Manager/ HR Organiser Maintenance – Monday 9 September 2019

The Business Systems Team will be performing an essential system upgrade on Monday 9 September 2019. During this time the following services will be unavailable:

  • iTrent
  • HR Organiser
  • People Manager
  • Web Recruitment
  • External Examiner Nomination Portal

It is anticipated that the system will be unavailable from 10.00am until 6.30pm, notification will be made to users once it is available for use again.

[Service alert] [Scheduled] Library System Maintenance: 15th and 16th August

On Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of August, the library digital systems will be going down for maintenance.

If you’re a member of the Colchester or Loughton library, during this time you will not be able to check out books using the self-service kiosks, and will have to have them manually checked out at the helpdesk.

You will not be able to recall or renew any books during this time.

Items borrowed during these days will be made a note of and added to your account on a later date, so your account may not be up-to-date.

When returning items, they may not come immediately off of your account, but we will make sure that they are removed as soon as possible.

Any items that are due during these dates will be postponed to the 19th August.

[Service Alert] Power outage Loughton campus

We are aware that there was a campus wide power cut at our Loughton campus between 16:55 – 17:12 today.

This will have unfortunately caused widespread disruption to all IT services at Loughton for the duration.

Power has now been restored.
