[Service Alert] We’re experiencing a service outage with webmail

Investigating 10:40

Webmail service is recovering and Microsoft are working to restore normal performance.  We will post another update as soon as we know more.

Investigating 08:45

There is currently an issue with accessing webmail. The service is currently inaccessible via the usual url https://email.essex.ac.uk.

This is the result of a problem with Microsoft’s online Exchange services and they are investigating the cause.

Microsoft have said that this issue primarily affects Outlook on the web, though some users may also experience problems with Outlook desktop and mobile devices.

We will provide a further update as soon as possible.
