[Service Alert] Scheduled email system upgrade – 29 January 2020

29/01/2020 | Update 3 – Upgrade successful

Email system has now been successfully upgraded to use the Barracuda Security System for external senders and recipients.

We’ll be closely monitoring all email traffic to capture any problems. Please report any email problems to the IT Helpdesk it.helpdesk@essex.ac.uk or call 2345.

28/01/2020 | Update 2 – New upgrade date 29 January 2020

Email system upgrade now taking place on Wednesday 29 January 2020 between 8am and 9am.

We’re upgrading our email systems to improve the service for everyone.

The work is taking place on Tuesday 28 January 2020 between 8am and 9am.

We don’t anticipate any disruptions to the email service but you may notice a small delay in sending or receiving emails during this time.

If you have any email problems after 9am please contact the IT Helpdesk it.helpdesk@essex.ac.uk or call 2345.

We’ll update this post when the upgrade has been completed.
