[Scheduled Service Alert] Software Hub update and macOS Catalina compatibility

The update has now been tested and the Software Hub is working ok for Catalina users.

Update 21/02/2020

The update was completed successfully by 10pm last night and we believe that the Hub is now fully operational again.

Catalina users are now be able to access the Hub without issue, we recommend using Chrome to do this.

If you have any issues please contact the ITS Helpdesk.

Update 20/02/2020

The update to our Software Hub is now scheduled for this evening at 7pm, we apologize for the short notice.

The Hub will be unavailable for a few hours while the update takes place.

Update 28/01/2020

Due to technical issues this update is still pending.  Sorry if this is stopping you using the Software Hub on your Mac.

We are working hard to find a fix for this issue and as soon as we do we’ll get the update scheduled in right away.

Update 03/01/2020

We have rescheduled the update for Monday 6 January at 6pm. The Software Hub will be unavailable for a few hours while the update takes place.

Update 05/12/2019

The scheduled update to our Software Hub did not complete successfully last night due to unforseen technical reasons.

We are investigating the issue and will need to reschedule the update once it is resolved, this is a priority.

Normal service was resumed by 9.30pm.

Unfortunately, as a result macOS Catalina users will still not be able to use the Software Hub until the update is installed.

We will update this post as soon as we know more.


 

Mac OS Catalina compatibility

Devices running Mac OS Catalina (10.15) are not currently compatible with the Software Hub.

If you use the Software Hub on a Mac we recommend that you hold off on updating to Catalina until after the Software Hub update – details below.

Software Hub update

The Software Hub will be unavailable for a few hours from 6pm on Wednesday 4 December.

This is so we can update the Software Hub to the latest version which will ensure compatibility with devices running Mac OS Catalina.
