[Resolved] Problem accessing some services over the weekend

There was an authentication related problem which affected access to some services from midnight on Saturday 30 January.

Known affected services were:

  • Authenticated SMTP via smtp.essex.ac.uk
  • Connecting to eduroam wi-fi

The problem has now been resolved.

When connecting to eduroam you may be asked to accept a new certificate. If you accept this you should be able to connect to eduroam without further problems.
