Filed under: Audio Visual, News — Dan Jolly @ 4:06 pm

A yearlong capital investment project to improve the remaining below standard teaching rooms has now been completed by Audio Visual Services.

AVS, working closely with Estates, have refurbished seven teaching rooms; installing a combined total of £187,000 worth of state-of-the-art AV equipment, which includes:

  • A flagship lectern system  –  fully designed, branded and integrated in-house
  • Touch panel control
  • Digital high-definition OHP’s
  • Future proof technology using Cat6 transport
  • Interactive writeable surfaces

“The room refurbishments was a major highlight in the AVS calendar.  As a capital funded project this was a new development for AVS, where we were able to take a break from maintaining existing systems and build something new, which was then used as a guideline for the ongoing upgrades to the LTB, and the upgrades to the gateway building on Southend campus.” – Tim Warren, Audio Visual Services Team Leader.
