People Supporting Strategy

People Supporting Strategy

From 11th July, we will be moving to a new e-recruitment system, which will improve the process for recruiting managers. Effective recruitment is an important way of building our capacity and capability to achieve the aims of our Strategic Plan.

This work, together with new guidance and training, will help us deliver the commitments outlined in our People Supporting Strategy.

Why is this happening?

The new system, being introduced soon, will be integrated with our existing HR system, providing a seamless way of recruiting new staff and retaining their information electronically when they become employees.

What will it mean for me?

Recruiting managers will move from the current e-recruitment system to the new system in the near future.  We will be here to support recruiting managers to ensure this transition does not impact on your recruitment round. We are also working to ensure there is clarity around roles and responsibilities in this area. This will be published in our new guidance.

Coming soon: Guidance, support and training

Our recruitment policy guidance is being revised and further resources will be developed to support recruiting managers, including:

  • Guidance on how to write a job advert, job description and person specification
  • Information on the most appropriate ways to assess candidates and interviewing techniques
  • One-to-one training sessions for recruiting managers.

Job vacancy email alerts – you will have to re-register for job alerts as part of the new system. To set up job alerts, you will need to enter your criteria and click the search button – this will display all of your results. You can then scroll down to the bottom of the page and select ‘click here to save this search as a job alert’.
