All our teaching rooms are now covered by Listen Again

Our innovative and highly popular service, Listen Again, has been expanded to cover every centrally timetabled teaching room in Colchester and Southend campuses.

The service now covers over 180 teaching rooms. This means we will be probably the first University in the UK to have 100 per cent coverage of our teaching rooms.

E-mail account upgrade

Filed under: Colchester, Loughton, News, Southend — Tags: , , , — Communications, CER @ 8.53 am

All undergraduate and postgraduate taught student e-mail accounts have been migrated and upgraded to Microsoft Office 365.  The key benefits to you are: Monitor-(410)200x300

  • 500 times more e-mail storage space (100MB to 50GB) in the “cloud”; and
  • an improved platform for scalability and future online collaboration.

Re-configuring your e-mail client If you use Outlook Web Access (http://email.essex.ac.uk), the transition should be seamless and you will notice only some slight changes in the interface. You will access your account in the same way, though you will see an additional login prompt. If you are using another method of reading your email (eg Outlook, Thunderbird, iPhone, Andriod etc) you may need to refer to the FAQ pages to re-configure your client following the migration. If you still experience problems please e-mail the IT Helpdesk at desk@essex.ac.uk or call +44 1206 85 2345 (or ext. 2345). They will ask you some questions to determine exactly what the problem is. Read more about  these changes in our IT blog.
