University Tennis Co-ordinator Toby Bawden has successful applied for funding from the Lawn Tennis Association to run an introductory junior tennis course at the Colchester Campus.

Following Britain’s success in the Davis Cup last year, the Lawn Tennis Association invited coaches to apply for Legacy funding to run a free six week introductory tennis course for up to ten children aged from five to eight.  Children who attend for at least four weeks will be given special Davis Cup rackets.

As coach,  Toby gets to attend a training day with an inspirational coach, a GB Davis Cup kit, six week course lesson plans and a bucket of red tennis balls to use.

The lessons will run after school next term.  For more information please contact Toby on
